What the "Fairscent Verified" badge on our products means
When you see the FairScent Verified badge next to a perfume, it means that specific product has passed our internal quality and fairness checks.
FairScent is operated by Fairscent Limited Liability Company, an independent retailer based in Albany, New York, USA. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by any fragrance brand. The FairScent Verified badge is our own industry-leading standard—created to make shopping for perfume safer, simpler, and more transparent.
1. Original fragrances only
We are extremely selective about what we list:
- 100% genuine fragrances – We only sell original perfumes produced by the brand’s manufacturer.
- We do not sell knockoffs, copies, or fragrances that misuse another brand’s name or logo.
- Brand-new, sealed packaging – Products with the FairScent Verified badge are new, factory-sealed items, in their original retail boxes.
If we ever sell testers, unboxed items, or anything that is not brand-new, it will be clearly labeled and will not receive the FairScent Verified badge.

2. Verified sourcing – we know what we buy
Before a fragrance is added to our catalog, we verify where it comes from:
- We purchase only from reputable US distributors and wholesalers with a long track record in the fragrance industry.
- We keep commercial invoices and supply-chain documentation for each shipment.
- We reject inventory that arrives from unknown or untrusted sources.
This means that when a perfume is FairScent Verified, we know exactly how we get it and can trace it back through our suppliers if needed.
3. Bottle-by-bottle checks
We make sure that for every perfume that receives the badge, the distributor performs a basic inspection:
- Check the outer box, seals, labels and wrapping.
- Confirm the batch code or lot number is present and matches the packaging.
- Look for any visible defects, leakage, or signs of tampering.
If something doesn’t meet our standards, we do not list it for sale or it is removed from inventory immediately, and we do not engage in business with that said distributor.
4. Only products actually in stock
The FairScent Verified badge also means the item has been proven to be physically available in the distributor's warehouse.
We only publish products that can be shipped.
Inventory is updated regularly so that "In stock" truly means ready to ship from our distributor's location.
No “ghost inventory", and no drop-shipping preorders from unknown third parties.
5. Fair price check
We believe a good deal should still be an honest deal.
For items with the FairScent Verified badge:
We compare our prices against realistic market and MSRP ranges—not inflated numbers.
Any retail prices you see are based on genuine reference values, not invented just to show a big discount.
If the price can’t be justified as fair and transparent, we adjust it or don’t list the product at all.
Our goal is simple: a fair price for a real perfume, clearly shown before you check out.
6. What FairScent Verified is NOT
To avoid confusion:
- The badge is not an official approval from any fragrance brand.
- It is not a certification from Google or any other third party.
- It is our internal fairness standard that tells you a product has passed our checks for authenticity, condition, stock status, and pricing.
